A Lansing firm founded over 52 years ago, HASSELBRING-CLARK has grown to one of the largest distributors of Canon office equipment in the State of Michigan. In addition to Canon's full line of office equipment and digital equipment solutions, HASSELBRING-CLARK specializes in offering Digital Imaging Solutions to meet today's demanding need for records management.

The firm began as the HASSELBRING Company in 1956, when Reinhart Hasselbring, Seth Bidwell and James Robertson purchased the office machine division of the Franklin DeKleine Company. Initially selling typewriters, adding machines, addressing machines and mimeograph equipment, the company was located at 310 Grand Avenue and served a local Lansing market. In the late 1950's, however, the firm made a prophetic and opportune decision - diversifying into photocopiers manufactured at the time by Kodak.

About the same time, important personnel changes were also occurring within the company. Mr. Hasselbring, the driving force of the business, bought out his two partners, and a delivery man by the name of Ellis Clark was hired. He would later run the company. By 1966, HASSELBRING had outgrown its Grand Avenue quarters and moved to larger offices at 809 Center Street.

The '70's brought more success and growth.  As the firm began to specialize in reprographic equipment, the typewriter and adding machine departments were sold to L.E. Lightheart.  A HASSELBRING employee, Ellis Clark and Louis Willard bought HASSELBRING itself, changing the company name to HASSELBRING-CLARK in 1976.

Today, the company specializes in the sale, rental, service and supply of Canon's complete product line, photocopiers, digital systems, facsimiles, and micrographic equipment; in fact, it has been among the largest dealers of Canon equipment in Michigan since 1977.  HASSELBRING-CLARK has continually added quality manufacturers to their product offerings.

The company's expert staff of sales and service employees have all been extensively trained at various company schools to learn the intricacies of the Canon machines. The combination of technical expertise and high-quality service has paid off handsomely for HASSELBRING-CLARK and many of its clients, including the state of Michigan, the city of Lansing and Michigan State University, who have been customers for many years.
